IBC Japan Offers Big Savings on 2005 Vehicles for Kenya Markets

The Kenyan government only allows entry of used cars that are less than 7 years old. This means that models manufactured in 2005 can no longer enter Kenyan ports by 2013.

However, IBC Japan, a worldwide exporter of quality pre-owned vehicles, is offering its Kenya customers a final chance to buy these 2005 models and import them into Kenya before the year’s end. In their website, IBC has compiled these units for easy browsing. Click here to explore the different quality used cars available for Kenya.

Normally, vehicles that will be shipped in December of this year will arrive in Kenya ports by January of the next year. Even though the vehicle will arrive in 2013, customers will be pleased to know that this will still be allowed by the Kenyan government as long as the import entry permits will be filed within 2012.

In view of this, IBC is recommending its customers to order now and make sure the payments reach them by November 27 so that KEBS-required pre-shipment inspections are done before the December 1 cut-off. The last shipments of 2005 vehicles to Kenya will leave Japan early December which will allow enough time for delivery of Bills of Lading and documentation for filing the import entry permits and starting the customs clearance processes before the end of this year.

To avoid any problems, the customers are also advised to contact their customs clearance agent ahead of time in order to confirm their year-end documentation requirements and deadlines for import clearance of 2005 vehicles prior to ordering.

Faster and Easier Bidding Through IBC’s iDirect Lite Beta

The iDirect service has always been one of IBC Japan’s more innovative offerings and feature in their website. Simply put, it’s like a search engine that lets customers search for export-quality used vehicles that are available from more than 100 auction houses located in Japan. For active bidders, it’s especially advantageous for them to be able to have access to more than 150,000 used cars in one sitting.

These same users will be glad to know that IBC Japan is continuing to improve the bidding experience with the introduction earlier this year of iDirect Lite Beta, a new and faster version of the original iDirect.

IBC’s customers will discover that with this version, the iDirect interface has been made even more streamlined. The search filters found in the search page has been simplified further so that searching for auctioned used cars can be faster and easier.

And once you search, you will find that the search results display has also been improved. Information about the vehicles are shown on a grid arrangement that’s easier to read and cross reference. The thumbnail images are also optimized for faster loading which means you can view the vehicles you’ve searched more quickly.

In the previous iDirect version, you had to go through the shopping user interface when you bid. This may be preferred for some but for others who don’t, this is skipped in the new iDirect Lite Beta. That means that the bidding process will be shorter.

Understandably, there will be other users who have gotten used to the old iDirect version and may not be ready to switch to the new version. Not to worry, IBC Japan still allows users to use the old version as an option.

IBC Open for Business during Obon Week

Japan is celebrating the start of the Obon Festival this week. It’s some sort of a week-long holiday that’s celebrated all over Japan. So, naturally, it’s expected Japanese establishments to be open for business this week.

However, IBC Japan, a global exporter of used cars, will be open for business throughout the Obon festival. Furthermore, they’re offering special offers for their customers, an exclusive treat in light of Obon Week.

In previous years, IBC doesn’t normally operate during Obon but its customers worldwide will be delighted to know that this week, they’ll still have access to the quality pre-owned vehicles that they’ve come to expect in any other week. And that does not only apply to IBC inventory. Customers can bid in auctions too although the number of auctions held during the week will be limited.

Nevertheless, customers can expect the IBC sales support team to be available full force throughout Obon Week. As always, account managers are ready to negotiate the prices of used cars from the IBC inventory, even including those whose prices have been previously marked down.

Of special note is their Buy More Save More rewards program which is becoming popular especially with customers who are used car dealers. It’s a system that appoints credit points for IBC buyers so the more these customers buy used vehicles, the more they’ll save by earning credit points. They can then use these credit points on future purchases from IBC Japan.

You can reach our 24/7 Sales and Services Center from Japan at +81 75 622 5091. Our friendly English-speaking staff will take your call and answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Buy More Save More Program in IBC

Buy More Save More - IBC Japan
Saw this one on the homepage bulletin when I logged to my account in the website IBC Japan. It’s called the Buy More Save More Program and from what I understand, it’s sort of a system they devised to appoint credit points for their buyers. So when you “buy more” vehicles, you “save more” by earning credits.

I made a quick browse through their table of points and basically, they’ve categorized buyers according to the frequency of purchase, i.e. number of vehicles bought per month. The credit amount is pegged at USD 40 per vehicle so if say, you buy more than 50 units, you should be able to enjoy up to USD 10,000 of credit or more. Not bad.

According to the site, the credit amount earned can be used as cash for future purchases. It’s nice to know that in this reward program, they don’t differentiate between cars from inventory and those bought from auction so I guess the Buy More Save More program applies to all of IBC’s stocks. The credit amount earned though will only last until one year after the close of the month they are last earned.

Plus, it’s good that they put a Buy More Save More credit report on the homepage each and every time you log in. That way you get an updated count on how many credits you’ve earned and also on the Buy More main page, you can see a credit history that lists all your credits earned and whether you’ve redeemed those credits.

There are loads of other conditions but, overall, this might be really advantageous for auto dealers. The systems awards those with frequent purchases so I guess it’s gonna be really useful for customers who either buy in bulk or buy regularly.

Browsing for UK Vehicles - IBC Japan

I found this website called IBC Japan and it mainly sells Japanese used cars. I expected it to have Japanese cars only but was a bit delighted to know that it also offers Singapore and Thailand stocks and even UK stocks.

Regarding UK stocks, the site fairly offers a variety of European makes and models. A quick browse through their UK inventory reveals regulars like Audis, BMWs, Mercedes Benzes, Range Rovers and Porsches ranging from years 2005 to present. Some units have their prices marked down.

But the site’s UK Auctions page is where I really found lots of UK vehicles. The number of available units is easily double or even triple compared to their UK inventory. They also provide a reasonable amount of accompanying images for each unit and every one comes with a downloadable condition report in PDF format. A few quick searches and I was able to view several sedans, SUVs, passenger types and commercial types, so it’s not bad.

It’s a requirement to sign up for an account in order to view the auctioned vehicles but I guess it is standard procedure for any other vehicle auction site out there. Besides, signing up for an account in IBC Japan doesn’t take too long. Also, I didn’t read the UK Auctions terms and conditions page in detail but I’m sure it’s the usual deposit requirements and stuff, but I’ll be reading it again later for sure.

Overall, this is cool. Diesel units are relatively not common among Japanese used cars for sale. So I think it’s really good to be able to browse through a good selection of diesel European cars already in stock or available for auction.
